Arts Fest seeks art for 2025 poster
May 29, 2025 | By Waterbury Roundabout
Waterbury Arts Fest is set for July 11-12, and organizers at Revitalizing Waterbury are looking for a Vermont artist to illustrate this year’s commemorative poster and enjoy some perks along the way.
For the third year, Arts Fest will have a poster to promote the annual two-day art, food and entertainment event in downtown Waterbury. Arts Fest starts with a Friday night dance party with live music, food trucks and a beer garden. On Saturday, an arts market with more than 100 vendors sets up alongside entertainment on the Arts Fest stage, kids activities, and food/beverage sellers.
The Arts Fest commemorative poster will be sold as a fundraiser for Revitalizing Waterbury, a nonprofit economic and community development organization. The artist whose design is chosen will be featured on the Arts Fest website and will get a free spot at Arts Fest to display their work, sign posters, do demonstrations, etc.
Any artist from Vermont is eligible to enter a design. Images need to be 11x14 inches (or easily converted to that size) in a vertical orientation.
The deadline to enter is June 6 and the contest winner will be announced on June 16.
Previous Arts Fest posters featured Waterbury Reservoir scenes by Huntington artist Todd Cummings in 2023 and Bolton artist Natasha Bogar in 2024.
Guidelines for artists are online at WaterburyArtsFest.com under the Call to Artists tab.
